Tarik has been an active member of the startup community for several years. Having gained experience in both the investing and operating side, he seeks to provide a unique approach to the companies he works with.
Currently, Tarik is an investor and advisor to startups across the US and EU. He also serves as a mentor to several accelerators and incubators including Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, the Ember Group, and Startupbootcamp.
Prior to his current role, Tarik was a Partner at Interplay Ventures, a venture capital firm that previously invested in companies such as Coinbase and Warby Parker.
In 2015, Tarik founded an early-stage investment company, where he invested in the first rounds of Bazaar, Quickframe and Burrow among others.
In 2014, Tarik gained investment experience at Atika Capital Management, a long/short international equity fund where he covered tech/media/telecom stocks.
In 2012, prior to entering the investment world, Tarik was a co-founder of Chipp’d, a platform for linking digital content to physical items. Tarik has also worked as a technology investment banker at Madison Park Group.
Tarik has a BA in International Studies & Business Administration from Fordham University, he also has an MBA from MCNY.
