Early-Stage Venture Program

The Fordham Foundry Early-Stage Venture Program is a $1 million endowment from investor and philanthropist Mario Gabelli. The ESVP will help Fordham cultivate a vibrant entrepreneurial community, both on campus and beyond, while positioning the University as a leader in early-stage venture development among Jesuit institutions.

Who We Support

Fordham Student Founders. The Foundry works with dozens of student founders each year. The ESVP backs the ones who have shown the commitment and traction needed for long-term success. These founders usually come to us through Foundry courses such as Launch Your Startup and Start-up Venture Experience, through the Annual Pitch Challenge, and through applications to Summer at the Foundry, our summer accelerator.

Bronx-Based Entrepreneurs. As part of Fordham's commitment to the Bronx, the ESVP will expand to support community-rooted local businesses. We find these entrepreneurs through partners such as Part of the Solution (POTS), the Community Enterprise Accelerator, and Consult Your Community.
